Barbara Walters Grills Taylor Swift in’Tell Me Everything Doc Trailer

New film celebrating the famed journalist’s career will drop on Hulu next month

Barbara Walters‘ unflinching interview style is being celebrated in a new documentary titled Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything. The film will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 12th and then drop on Hulu on June 23rd.

The trailer showcases footage from her decades of raw interviews with the world’s most famous people. She’s seen grilling everyone from Putin and Trump to the Menendez Brothers, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift. Many of Walters’ friends and colleagues were interviewed for the documentary as well, including Oprah Winfrey, Bette Midler, and Katie Couric.

“No one ever got out totally unscathed,” journalist Cynthia McFadden says in the trailer. “She asked the question that nobody else had asked.”

“She had a vision that celebrities are news, and she turned out to be right,” adds Disney CEO Bob Iger. “They were newsmakers.”

The documentary will also dive into the passion, drive, and ambition that drove Walters throughout her lifetime. She is seen swatting away a make-up person who was interrupting an interview, and also trying to keep it together as Clint Eastwood flirts with her mid-conversation. Tell Me Everything was produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Documentaries.

“Whether it was her looks or her voice, or just the fact that she was a woman, there were people that just didn’t believe in her and she loved proving them wrong,” Iger continued. “Her job was the love of her life.”
