Bad Bunny Gives Chile a Shout-Out on Instagram

Bad Bunny has always had a special place in his heart for Chile. The Latin superstar showed his love for the South American country in a set of Instagram stories on Tuesday, nearly two months after his Debí Tirar Más Fotos world tour stop in Santiago.

“Chile, one of the first countries to embrace the culture and movement of reggaeton from Puerto Rico in the 2000s. That’s why it’s no coincidence that today, more than 20 years later, they also have their own reggaeton scene and are successful worldwide,” Bad Bunny wrote in one story slide. “Just as they believed in and supported the amazing artists from Puerto Rico, they also did that for me since 2016, and I am eternally grateful,” he added.

He went on to recount his first memories visiting the country. “I will never forget that year, 2017, when I visited them for the first time, the nightclubs, El Caupolicán, until I arrived in Viña del Mar, the Arena Movistar, and the Estadio Nacional.” The musician finished his note with a message of gratitude. “They have accompanied me in every stage of my career, and I value that very much. Thank you for that beautiful and special love for so many years.

During his tour stop in Santiago, which kicked off his first shows of 2026, the Chilean crowd vivaciously chanted for Bad Bunny to sing “120” from his third solo album El Último Tour Del Mundo. Since its release in 2021, the track has become a fan favorite in the country. In a viral moment, Bad Bunny adamantly shook his finger “no” and stuck to his setlist. But over three nights at Estadio Nacional, his band Los Sobrinos delivered soulful renditions of powerful Chilean anthems, including Victor Jara’s “El Derecho de Vivir en Paz” and Violetta Para’s “Gracias a La Vida.” In his Instagram tribute, he added, “Someday we will sing ‘120’ together, I promise.”

Clearly, there’s no bad blood between Benito and Chile. As part of his Instagram stories honoring the country, he featured pictures of Chile’s mountains and vineyards and highlighted music from Chilean artists, like Eighties punk rockers Los Prisoneros and reggaeton singer Floyymenor.

Bad Bunny’s adoration for Chile is hardly new. In 2020, he collaborated with Chilean rapper Pablo Chill-E on YHLQDLG’s “Hablamos Mañana.” A few weeks after his shows in Santiago this year, the superstar performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. During the unifying moment where he blessed each country in the Americas, Benito shouted out Chile first. Viva Chile!
