Warner Bailey, founder of Assistants vs. Agents (AvA), the meme page-turned-media company, has signed with UTA for representation in all areas.
Bailey launched AvA in 2018 while working as a talent agent assistant at WME. The multi-platform media and educational company today goes beyond social media to offering events, panels, editorial content, a newsletter and tech tools designed to connect and empower emerging entertainment professionals.
Assistants vs. Agents also hosts a job board so young people can get early jobs in the entertainment industry on their way to longterm careers, and employers can find them. AvA has partnered with universities, brands and Hollywood players like Netflix, Meta, Amazon MGM Studios, Red Bull, Warner Bros. Discovery, Disney, Paramount+, Apple TV+, among others.
Bailey also writes the AvA Connection newsletter and hosts a podcast. And he launched AvA Live at ZCON, a conference aimed exclusively at Gen Z speakers, where he interviewed talent and business leaders on career strategy.
Before launching AvA, Bailey worked in touring at Live Nation and WME and ran a creative agency. He oversaw festivals including M3F Fest in Phoenix, Arizona that showcased acts like Leon Bridges, Odesza, Maggie Rogers, Kaytranada, ZHU, and Jamie XX.
On the philanthropy front, Bailey helped launch the M3F Fund, a program funding the arts in underserved communities, and was a producer on the Live From Los Angeles: A Fire Relief Benefit, which raised over $100,000 for MusiCares.
He serves on the advisory board for Save The Music, a nonprofit organization that promotes music education.
