Renée Zellweger and Ant Anstead’s Date Night at ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy’ Premiere
Ant Anstead is setting the record straight.
After a report began circulating that he and girlfriend Renée Zellweger were living apart—and that he was spending time at the Laguna Beach home of a woman named Julia French—a rep for Ant slammed the rumor as “disrespectful and misleading.”
His rep further explained that the HGTV star “stayed just a handful of days in Julia French’s separate, and detached, guest house,” in a statement shared with People. “They have been long-time friends with similar aged children within a circle of local Laguna Beach friends.”
And, as the rep noted, despite Ant spending a “majority of his time working in the U.K.” while Renée films Only Murders in the Building in New York City, the pair “remain in a cherished relationship that they ask to keep private.”
And, when they’re not working across the pond or in the Big Apple, the couple—who began dating in 2021—normally enjoy life on the West Coast.
As Renée revealed in a January interview with British Vogue, “I live in Southern California, near San Diego. Because that’s where my fellow lives, and his little boy.”
