The American Music Awards 2025 are underway, with Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Taylor Swift and more leading the charge with the most nominations.
The event, produced by Dick Clark Productions and broadcast from Las Vegas, is hosted by Jennifer Lopez. Janet Jackson is being honored with the Icon Award, while Rod Stewart will both perform and accept the Lifetime Achievement Award. Additional performers at the AMAs include Benson Boone, Becky G, Gloria Estefan, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Lainey Wilson, Manuel Turizo, Renee Rapp and Alex Warren.
Presenters for the evening include Ciara, Jon Batiste, Kai Cenat, Megan Moroney, Tiffany Hadish, Dylan Efron, Alix Earle, Zac Brown, Wayne Brady, Nikki Glaser, Shaboozey, Dan + Shay, Jordan Chiles and more.
Lamar has the most nominations for the award ceremony, with 10 nods in categories including artist of the year, album of the year (“GNX”), song of the year (“Not Like Us”), collaboration of the year (“Luther” with SZA), favorite music video (“Not Like Us”), favorite male hip-hop artist, favorite hip-hop album (“GNX”), and favorite hip-hop song. He’s nominated three times in the latter category for “Not Like Us,” “Luther” and “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin.
Post Malone picks up eight nominations, while Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Shaboozey are tied for third-most noms with seven apiece. Taylor Swift picked up six, upping her total AMA nominations to 40. Additional artists with six nods are Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter and SZA. Behind them are Benson Boone, Hozier and Zach Bryan with five noms apiece.
