Album Sets August Release Date

Sabrina Carpenter has announced a new album called, “Man’s Best Friend,” due out Aug. 29

Carpenter released the album’s lead single, “Manchild,” which was written by her and her frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen, last week. It quickly rose to No. 1 on both the Spotify US and Spotify Global charts. The song arrived alongside a cinematic music video directed Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia.

“Man’s Best Friend” is Carpenter’s seventh studio album and follows her chart-topping, “Short n’ Sweet” record, which was released last August. All three singles off the album, “Espresso,” “Please Please Please,” and “Taste,” entered the coveted Billions Club on Spotify. “Short n’ Sweet” sold 10 million albums globally.

The record also earned Sabrina six Grammy nods as a first-time nominee and won two awards for her Grammy debut. Sabrina took home the “Best Pop Vocal Album” award for “Short n’ Sweet” along with “Best Pop Solo Performance” for the album’s lead single, “Espresso.”
