The “Kill Tony” special at this year’s WrestleMania is due to stream on Netflix, Variety has learned.
As previously reported, the comedy special, aptly dubbed “Kill Tony: WrestleMania,” will take place live in Las Vegas at the Dolby Live at Park MGM on April 18 following the conclusion of night one of WrestleMania 42. It will then be available to stream on Netflix beginning Monday, April 20 alongside a new episode of WWE’s flagship weekly show “Monday Night Raw.”
“Kill Tony: WrestleMania” will feature a lineup consisting of host Tony Hinchcliffe, current WWE superstars and WWE legends, well-known comedians and surprise guests. Tickets for the live event are now on sale via TicketMaster.
This is now the second year in a row that Hinchcliffe has been a part of WrestleMania. At WrestleMania 41, also in Las Vegas, Hinchcliffe hosted what was dubbed “The Roast of WrestleMania Featuring Tony Hinchcliffe & Friends.” The event featured comedy performances by WWE talent like Paul Heyman, R-Truth, The Miz, and Sami Zayn with Hinchcliffe hosting. There had been talk of that event being available to stream as well but it has yet to be released publicly.
This year’s WrestleMania will feature a number of marquee matches, including CM Punk (c) against Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship, Cody Rhodes (c) versus Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship, Jade Cargill (c) fighting Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s Championship, and rising star Oba Femi facing off against Brock Lesnar. Expect plenty of fans to do the Oba Femi Strut during WrestleMania week.
