Nine Inch Nails are close to the end of their 2026 Peel It Back Tour, with the band running through the Southwest and West Coast before wrapping up in Sacramento next week. The tour has been supported by frequent NIN collaborator Boys Noize, the German DJ and producer, with whom they’ll reunite at Coachella as Nine Inch Noize.

On Friday, Nine Inch Nails surprise-released a remix companion album to their Tron: Ares soundtrack. Titled Tron Ares: Divergence, the 44-track album includes one volume of remixes and outtakes, while the second volume comprises the original soundtrack album from the film.

The Tron: Ares soundtrack is the band’s first new music since 2020’s Ghosts V and VI. That said, bandmates Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have frequently collaborated on movie soundtracks in the years since, regularly working with directors like David Fincher and Luca Guadagnino.

The 2026 dates are an extension of the band’s 2025 tour, which may or may not be their last. Frontman Trent Reznor dropped hints that their touring days may be coming to a close, telling the Tulsa audience, “I don’t know if we’re going to be touring anymore after this, but I’m proud of the show we’re doing right now.” However, it wouldn’t be the band’s first farewell; they embarked on a Wave Goodbye Tour in 2009, only to return four years later with a new album and tour.
