ACCA’s ProDipSust gets SCQF Level 10 credit rating

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has confirmed that its Professional Diploma in Sustainability (ProDipSust) has been credit-rated by the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at Level 10 and allocated 20 credits.

SCQF Level 10 – part of an internationally agreed educational benchmark – aligns with the level associated with a UK bachelor’s (honours) degree.

The ACCA said that the recognition underscores the programme’s academic standard and professional relevance. It enables finance professionals to develop sustainability-related knowledge and skills.

ACCA UK director Abdul Goffar said: “We are pleased to have had our sustainability diploma credit-rated at SCQF Level 10. Sustainability is rapidly becoming one of the most powerful drivers of business strategy, regulatory compliance and investment decision-making.

“As the regulatory environment becomes more complex, businesses require financial professionals who can lead the sustainability agenda.

“The SCQF Level 10 recognition underscores the quality of this programme and our commitment to ensuring the accountancy profession is ready to step up and lead the transition to a sustainable global economy.”

Findings from the ACCA’s recent talent trends survey indicate that environmental impact is an important factor for many respondents, with around 51% saying they would like to move into sustainability-focused roles within accountancy and finance.

Assessment for ProDipSust is delivered through an integrated case study exam that assesses learners’ ability to apply their knowledge to realistic, complex scenarios, mirroring issues they may encounter in practice.

Learners can use ACCA study resources to support preparation, including four related certificates and exam preparation materials, with options intended to accommodate study alongside work and personal commitments.
