“Every step of our lives has led us to you,” they wrote in a joint post Jan. 5 alongside a photo of their hands cradling her feet. “Our hearts have been cracked wide open and our world is forever changed.”
And ahead of becoming a dad, the 40-year-old, who tied the knot with Hayley in 2023, admitted he was so ready for this new chapter with his dance partner for life.
“I get emotional thinking about it,” Derek told E! News in November, “where I get to guide, mentor, love this human being from day one.”
He continued, “It’s gonna be amazing and I’m looking forward to what it all is going to do and mean for me as a dad, as a person, as a man and what’s going to evolve within me and change.”
