U.S. Treasury Yields Rise After BOJ Rate Hike


Investors might also reassess the big drop in U.S. November inflation, as it might have to do with data challenges caused by the government shutdown, rather than with changes in the economy.

“Given those data quality concerns, it was a little surprising to see Treasurys rally across the curve in reaction, though I guess in these thin festive trading conditions, we really shouldn’t be reading too much into any market moves right now,” said Pepperstone’s Michael Brown in a note. The 10-year Treasury yield rose 2.3 bps to 4.138%, according to Tradeweb.
