Utilities stocks were taking a beating on Friday.
The State Street Utilities Select Sector SPDR exchange-traded fund was down 0.6% in afternoon trading, trading at $42.79.
The ETF is down 7.7% from its record reached in mid-October. If it manages to close at or below $41.805 today, the ETF will enter a correction.
