Zoe Saldaña’s kids won’t be visiting Pandora anytime soon.
The Avatar star shared her and husband Marco Perego-Saldaña’s sons, 11-year-old twins Cy and Bowie and Zen, 8, haven’t watched any of the Avatar films yet—but she has a good reason why.
“I want them to be able to experience Avatar when they are absolutely ready,” the 47-year-old exclusively told E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere in Los Angeles Dec. 1. “You know, my boys are gentle. They’re beautiful flowers. I mean, they’re resilient like you wouldn’t imagine but they pace themselves and I respect them for that.”
Although her sons aren’t old enough to experience the Na’vi just yet, they do have one guilty pleasure when it comes to movies, as she admitted, “They’re into Adam Sandler movies, which are sometimes not that appropriate for 11-year-olds.”
But they have dabbled in some of mom’s other work.
“One of them has seen one of the Guardians movies,” Zoe explained. “And they just started seeing the Transformers movies because they’re so into Transformers.”
